About This Waterfall

From the town of Estacada follow SR 224 for 27 miles and turn right onto FSR 46 (Clackamas River Road). In another 3 1/2 miles turn right onto FSR 63 (Collowash Road) then in another 3 1/2 miles turn right again onto FSR 70 (Bagby Springs Road) and drive another 5 miles to the bridge over Blister Creek and park. The falls are visible 200 feet upstream but clear views can only be had by bushwhacking along either side of the creek. You may have to get wet in order to get to the bottom of the falls.Blister Creek Falls is a somewhat obscure but pretty 35 foot horsetailing fall that boils into a large pool flanked with sheer cliffs of basalt. The appearance of the falls is somewhat unexpected since no other stream draining into the Hot Springs Fork (or the Collowash River proper for that matter) up to this point gives any indication of harboring a waterfall. Late in the season the reduction in volume of Blister Creek changes the nature of the falls to that of a calm ribbon of water gliding into a placid pool.
