About This Waterfall
Emerald Pools is one of the more famous attractions in Zion Canyon. The streams occupying Heeps and Behumin Canyons converge at this point and plunge about 100 feet in triplicate to the namesake pool at the base of a deeply undercut cliff. Like most of the waterfalls in this part of the state, the falls are dependant on precipitation and will run dry quickly during the summer except when a passing thunderstorm briefly brings it back to life.
