About This Waterfall
Haines Falls is the uppermost waterfall along Kaaterskill Creek. The falls plunge about 100 feet in two segments directly beneath an old stone arch bridge. A third segment (or possibly an ephemeral stream sourcing to the left of the falls) used to drop parallel to the falls as they currently exist and was known distinctly as Bridal Veil Falls, however this segment no longer seems to exist. Haines Falls is located on private property and is not publicly accessible, however a distant view of the falls can be had from across Kaaterskill Clove along the Escarpment Trail southwest of Kaaterskill Falls.
