About This Waterfall
Santa Cruz Falls is the largest of the half-dozen tributary waterfalls which stream down the south wall of Kaaterskill Clove. The falls drop about 300 feet at the head of a broad rocky wash in Santa Cruz ravine. There is no direct access to the falls, but it can be partially seen from Route 23A when the trees are bare. It should be possible to bushwhack to the base of the falls as long as there are no issues with crossing private property (though this will involve fording Kaaterskill Creek, which can swell to considerable size when Santa Cruz Falls may be flowing at its peak).
