About This Waterfall
Drive east from Roseburg to the small town of Glide, and turn south on the signed Little River Road. Follow the Little River Road for 25.8 miles to the signed Lake-in-the-Woods campground. About 500 feet past the campground turn right and proceed another 500 feet to the trailhead (one can also start from Lake in the Woods Campground if desired). The falls are encountered below the footbridge 1/2 mile from the trailhead. There is no easy way to view the falls from the bottom - smashing through the brush is necessary. This is a small, very unnoteworthy waterfall encountered along the Hemlock Creek Trail. The falls cascade about 15 vertical feet as the creek passes beneath a footbridge. The waterfall was first cited in the 3rd edition of Waterfall Lovers Guide to the Pacific Northwest, but is only being included here as a disambiguation - it would otherwise not qualify to be included in the database. Because getting a clear view of the falls is difficult, I suggest skipping this one altogether and proceeding upstream along the trail to better waterfalls.
