About This Waterfall
West Fork Falls is a large two-stepped fall along the West Fork of Parachute Creek which drops a total of around 340 feet. The upper tier appears to be at least three times the size of the lower tier, with a short run of talus cascades situated between the two drops. The falls are within land which is actively mined for Oil Shale and Natural Gas deposits by several large energy companies (Unocal, Exxon and Shell among others) and is not thought to be accessible to the public.
