About This Waterfall

Brennegan Creek Falls is one of the largest accessible waterfalls in the lower Entiat River valley between Chelan and Wenatchee. The falls are fortuitously located on a parcel of National Forest Land wedged in between swaths of private lots on either side - a fate unfortunately not granted to several other nearby waterfalls. The falls occur where Brennegan Creek cuts through a crack in the granite bedrock, curtaining about 80 feet in an initial leap, followed by a second drop of 50 feet that is a bit difficult to see clearly from the canyon rim. The falls can sometimes be seen from the road, but are usually near impossible to spot unless one knows exactly where to look.Because the Entiat Valley was explored fairly early on during the 20th Century, I would expect this waterfall to have been discovered quite a while ago, but there doesn't seem to be much evidence pointing to such a conclusion.
